I have taught graduate level real estate courses at NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate beginning in 2001 at various times holding the positions of Director of Academic Affairs, Clinical Associate Professor and Adjunct Professor. During that time my courses have included The Development Process, Capstone in Development (the equivalent of a masters thesis), Community Development Seminar and the JP Morgan Chase Competition.
I have included samples of syllabi for each of these course on separate pages. You will notice that I integrate the use of Blackboard into all my courses. It is not uncommon for a student to visit Blackboard several hundred times during the semester. It is also my practice to post all student work on Blackboard as I have learned students care as much, if not more, what their peers think of their work as what their professors do. Based on feedback over the years from students, I am certain they learn a great deal from reading each other’s work product.
